The DarknessCornered in the darkness. Demons grab my heel, Dragging me down deeper Until I no longer feel. Sinking in the darkness. Breath slowly leaving. I gulp for air; My chest is heaving. Can’t see through the darkness; My eyes have become blind. I keep looking, But darkness is all I find. Lying in the darkness. I am no longer strong. Giving up forever, Even though I know it’s wrong Cornered in the darkness; No more light to see. I can feel nothing. All there is, is me.The Darkness
The Lake of My LifeFor each step, there’s two taken backwards. A deep void in my body echoes loudly. The ice cracks and I fall in deep. Hell frozen over creeping on my skin. Frost coats my spirit and I fade fast.The Lake of My Life
Fears past crawl back under my chilled skin. Clothes come alive and drag me further. Bubbles of my life drift upwards. The tired place in my heart keeps on beating. Thick like the ice I tried not to slip on.
From one side of the lake to the other. The lake of my life frozen over.
Water chilled to unbearable heights.
